Planning your wedding is one of the most exciting events you will ever plan as well as one of the most overwhelming. I get a ton of questions from potential brides about makeup and how the day of will play out so I thought my first blog post would encapsulate all of that.
1. I don't wear a lot of makeup, will I still look like myself?
This is probably my most common question. My style of makeup is soft natural bridal glam. I want you to still look like yourself but the most glamorous version of you. It is your wedding day after all. You won't feel like your wearing pounds of makeup, it will feel very light and natural.
2. How long do I need to budget for getting ready?
I need roughly 45 minutes per makeup application as well as 15 minutes at the end for touchups. Lipstick will get applied last so that everyone still has a chance to eat, drink, and be merry before they are out the door. I prefer the bride to go second last so that there is still plenty of time for her to get in her dress and take photos.
3. Will you travel to me?
Yes, I am a fully mobile service. Wherever you need me to be, I will be there (additional fees apply).
4. Do you work with a hairstylist?
I do not have a stylist on my team but I have several hairstylists that I work with regularly who are very talented and highly reliable. This also goes for any other wedding vendor. I have been in this business for quite some time and would be happy to connect you. Please ask for my referral list.
5. Should I do a trial before my wedding day?
That is a definite yes! Your wedding day is not the day to be experimenting with a different makeup look as well as using different makeup products. At your trial we will work together to create the perfect look. You can then see how the products sit and how the makeup holds up. When your wedding day comes both you and your artist will be confident in the look that will be created. It is also a great time for the bride and artist to meet to see if they are a good fit.
6. How do I book you for my wedding?
To book my services I require a signed contract as well as a retainer. Those two items are required for your date to be on the books.
7. What size of bridal party do you accommodate?
The minimum to book my services is five during the busy wedding season (June to September). If you do not have the minimum to book my services you can still pay the difference between the smaller package and the weekend minimum. I can accommodate a maximum of eight applications.
And as always if you have any further questions please reach out to me and I would be happy to answer them!
Happy Planning.
